Once this is in place, you can focus your energy on the goal and become obsessive about it. When you learn how to focus your energy, amazing things happen.

Eliminate Distractions

– Get a distraction notebook to put any thoughts that could make you lose focus or designate a time where you don’t check your phone.

Designated a Focus Space

– train yourself to focus intensely when working in your focus space. This could be a special desk, a corner in your room, a coffee shop, a place where you can be focused at whatever you’re working on.

Build a Hard Stops

– Structure your day by including a “hard stop”. This will not only require you to work with more focus & intensity, but help you maintain work life balance.

Create Urgency

– Set tighter deadlines! By limiting the amount of time available to complete the task and become more efficient.

– work in a 90 minutes focus session or try the Pomodoro technique. Work in 25 minutes intervals, each separated by a 25 minutes break. after 4 intervals, take a longer break.

Accountability Partner

– Find a like minded partner to keep you accountable. Share your goals and priorities for tech day first thing in the morning and then conduct regular check-ins.
